How You Can Attend Boa Preferred Rewards With Minimal Budget
Like the Bank of America Cash Rewards card, the World Wildlife Fund credit card also offers 2% cash back from grocery shops and wholesale clubs, and 1% cash back on many other categories of your choice. Both cards also provide joint relationship bonuses for BoA preferred Rewards customers. However, with the World Wildlife Fund, you get an added incentive to make sure you pick one of their products: the animal welfare.
The BoA preferred credit card earns you points and cash credits towards making purchases at participating retailers. You earn a bonus reward for every dollar you charge to your account, whether it is for food gasoline, shelter or clothing. You earn twice the amount as cash credit cards. The double earning of rewards and reduction of interest makes these cards the better choice for frequent buyers and savvy savers. What could be better than getting double the cash back just because you have chosen to help save the world? That's what the BoA card offers its customers, who are able to help themselves as well as the animals they love.
The World Wildlife Fund does things differently than the BoA preferred rewards program. You cannot exceed your maximum credit limit, which might make you uneasy if you are not careful. You cannot re-establish an account unless you have a bank account with that bank. And you can only earn up to twice the amount of cash credits you earn, which could make those limits seem restrictive.
There are some advantages to both programs. For example, you are able to consolidate any checking accounts you may have with the same bank, and you earn points toward larger cash rewards on the World Wildlife Fund cash and gift cards. Combined with the low annual fees and low or no balance transfer fees, you can see why the BoA and World Wildlife Fund cards are preferred rewards programs by so many people. But there are disadvantages too.
The World Wildlife Fund is not really a cash program, although there are some incidental cash incentives included in the program. It does not provide any incentives for opening new accounts. If you already have one or two checking accounts, you will earn less than the rate at which you would earn with a BoA account. You cannot exceed your maximum credit limit on either the BoA preferred rewards credit cards or the World Wildlife Fund cash and gift cards. You can't earn additional points with these accounts either.
What this means for you: If you like to go out to dinner and dine at expensive restaurants and do not like to have to pay a lot of cash for it, you probably will benefit from the low-interest rate hotels, airfare, and rental cars that are featured on the World Wildlife Fund cards. On the other hand, if you do like to shop and dine at expensive restaurants but do not like to pay cash, then the World Wildlife Credit Card may be a good choice for you. But since you won't get extra points for making purchases with this account, it probably is not worth your time to apply for this program.
Another disadvantage of the BoA preferred rewards credit cards is that they only provide cash credit cards at certain participating grocery stores. This means that you have to stay at one of the grocery store rewards locations to take advantage of the benefits of having a cash card. Also, there are limits placed on how much cash you can accumulate in these grocery stores.
Another disadvantage of the World Wildlife Society cash and gift cards is that you cannot transfer the points to other travel rewards credit cards or to a regular credit card. However, if you purchase merchandise from the participating brands, they will provide a minimum cash amount that you can use towards your trip. Most of these gift cards include air miles and bonus points toward other activities as well. So if you travel a lot, then consider either one of these fine cash and gift cards instead of the more traditional cash and prizes travel rewards cards.
